BYWAYS 101 COVERS THE FUNDAMENTALS & MORE
Based on practices and principles that have evolved since the National Scenic Byways Program’s inception in 1991, Byways 101 uses four sequential Parts to cover important byway topics.
The majority of information reflects the National Scenic Byways Program Interim Policy. Byways seeking designation as a National Scenic Byway or All-American Road will find Byways 101 especially useful.
If you are not seeking national designation under the National Scenic Byways Program, you will certainly find helpful information in Byways 101. However, we recommend that you also check with your State, Federal lands, or Indian tribe byway program for specific criteria relating to those programs.
